Thank you UT and UFrame Film Festival!

Hey everyone, it’s Ryan Parma here, and I just wanted to write a little something explaining the incredible trip me and ten other UT students got to experience.  First off, I have to say, this was probably one of the best trips that I have ever experienced in my life.  The care and hospitality offered by the volunteers and the film festival itself were out of this world.  The volunteers, Nuno, Carla, Ricardo, and André, were, to say the least, the best tour guides for the city of Porto.  Never did we find ourselves lost or having trouble communicating with the city, and they were always there to lead us around to all the tours we went to.  This trip probably couldn’t have been the same without them. Also, the group that I went with, Nazanin, Gaby, Marianela, Keith, Molly, Ryan K., Lucas, Sergio, Keeley, and Ruwan, was incredible as well.  We all bonded and went out almost every night together, well those who could stay up, ha ha.  Anyway, we all enjoyed the massive amounts of shorts watched, which each came from different countries.  Granted it was hard to keep up with those in Portuguese that had no translation, but we always had one of our guides explaining what was going on. Overall, this was such an amazing trip to be a part of, and I really want to thank UT for fronting the expense for us and UFrame for their hospitality and positivity.  I have posted a picture of all of us below with Prof. Shea at the closing dinner in Porto.  Enjoy!
